Zhenfeng Zhou
I am a third-year graduate student at the School of Journalism and Communication, Nanjing University, under the supervision of Professor Cheng-Jun Wang. I am also a member of the Computational Communication Collaboratory, Nanjing University. I completed my undergraduate studies at Lanzhou University, focusing on coursework in Film and Television and Data Visualization.
My research interests are computational social science, hate speech and textual narratives, and causal inference. Currently, I use causal inference and natural language processing methods to analyze hate narratives and negative sentiments toward specific groups, using large-scale datasets constructed from historical newspapers, books, and online platforms. In addition, I have a background in media psychology and am familiar with survey research and scale analysis.
